Announcing the successful conclusion of CommuniGate Systems' executive summit in Berlin and a call for papers for the Fall 2011 Executive Summit

CommuniGate Systems announce the successful conclusion of their executive summit in Berlin, and open a call for papers for the Fall 2011 event in Egypt

Berlin, Germany, 7th June 2011 - CommuniGate Systems, leaders in white-label unified communications software for telecom operators announces the successful conclusion of its Spring 2011 Executive Summit in Berlin.

The summit, titled "Being more than cheap access to Skype, Google and Facebook", attracted executive participants from a fixed operators, mobile operators, wholesale and virtual network operators (MVNOs), analysts, software vendors and hardware vendors.

Presentations and panel discussions covered the issues facing a rapidly commoditizing telecoms industry, how telecom operators can adapt and where future innovation is likely to come from. Amongst the topics discussed were:

- What happens if an over-the-top (OTT) provider like Google or Skype were to become an MVNO?
- How can operators protect and grow their threatened voice revenues?
- How can unified communications and Cloud technologies deliver services subscriber will pay for?
- Will the operators need to play a dual role in the Cloud?

Consensus developed around how MVNOs (or wholesale telecom providers) will become a significant part of the future telecoms environment. The group believed it likely that OTT providers will move into these roles, and that new MVNO value propositions would be enabled in a commoditized telecoms environment.

Whitelabel solutions like Deutsche Telekom's MyCommSuite, powered by CommuniGate Systems, were seen as crucial in enabling MVNOs to deliver high quality services quickly and cost effectively across both broad and niche customer segments.
